1920年(大正9年)に生まれた作家の祖母「あや子」が太平洋戦争中に体験した貧しさや苦悩を思い返す音声と、彼女の皮膚の皺や顔の微細な動きを不自然な時間軸で捉えた映像で構成。実際に彼女が幼少期から戦争後まで住んでいた尾道市の元文房具店で上映した。
Ayako- Yashima’s grandmother was born in 1920 in the city of Onomichi.
This work consists of her voice telling her experience of hardship during Pacific war and moving images of her face in slight movements, capturing details such her skin and wrinkles.
In 2017, this installation was exhibited in her former stationary store in which she had lived until 1960s.
